VR Series: centerless valve refacing machines

On the VR12, the valve is not clamped in a collet or a chuck: it is guided by the stem, between rollers, and ground without a center. Stem runout stays below 0.005 mm, whatever the valve: the face is concentric to the stem, for maximum sealing and performance.

From the small multi-valve engine valve to the large diesel or gas valve, the machine adapts by adjustment: valve rotation, wheel speed, feed. Grinding of the face, but also of the stem and stem tip, with chamfering.

Centerless grinding

No more collets or chucks to change: the valve is guided by the stem and rotates between rollers. Stem runout below 0.005 mm.

Settings for every valve

Valve rotation from 0 to 230 rpm, adjustable wheel speed, face angle from 10° to 60°: one machine for every valve size.

Automatic feed

Angled roller system that controls the valve length precisely, for identical valves across a whole set.

Stem and stem tip

Ø 225 mm main wheel and Ø 100 mm tip wheel: face, stem, stem tip and chamfer on the same machine.

Frequently asked questions

Before you choose.

What does centerless grinding bring?

The valve is guided by the stem, between rollers, with no collet or chuck: stem runout stays below 0.005 mm and the face is concentric to the stem.

Which valve sizes?

VR12: stems from 3.5 to 16 mm, length up to 400 mm, face angle from 10° to 60°. VR10: stems from 4 to 14 mm, length up to 318 mm.

Can the stem and stem tip be reworked?

Yes: Ø 225 mm main wheel and Ø 100 mm tip wheel for the face, the stem, the stem tip and the chamfer, on the same machine.
